An Anti-Bride Moment

I guess the inspiration for this bridal shoot was in the spirit of people doing their own thing when it comes to being a bride (or having photos done for any occasion). I do think that sometimes it feels a little hard to think about something like being a bride and consider how to do it “different.” The idea of doing bridals in your reception dress instead of your wedding dress, or making the florals a bigger deal for your bridal session, or maybe going with a hairstyle that you know you aren’t going to use on your wedding day. The beautiful thing about being a bride is that there shouldn’t be any rules that you let tradition set for you.

This isn’t to take anything away from having a traditional moment when it comes to being a bride, either. Plenty of brides have always loved the idea of tradition when it comes to their wedding dress, their bridal photos, and their wedding day. Again - this fits perfectly within that logic of doing this time in your life how you want to.
