Arkansas Couple Session Turned Proposal

I have been pretty fortunate with the amount of times guys have reached out to me to book me to document them proposing. For a photographer who really does value documenting moments as much as any purely creative work, these sessions are always super special. It’s also one of the only things that I have found gets me super nervous. I am happy to report that I have not messed one of these up though.

This session even outside of the proposal ended up being pretty magical. Riley and Aldrich did something very well that I ask my couples to do during their photo sessions, and that is to meet me in the middle. I don’t promise for couples that I can do all of the work and that I can guide their every action. To really make images that they fall in love with they need to let their guard down (if it’s up) and just be with each other how they would if I wasn’t there.

There was also one element of this shoot that left me feeling so incredibly inspired - as it usually does - and that was the wind. I feel like sometimes girls think I am just trying to calm their nerves when I tell them how much I love the wind getting involved in all of my photo sessions, but it really is something that I love in my photo sessions every single time.
