Lily and Caden Engagement Session

I knew the second that these two got out of the car that I was going to love working with them. I think that a lot of times it is so easy for photographers to get distracted by so many things that are constantly changing about this industry - reels, trends, reels that are trends, travel, etc.

Constantly reminded by sessions like these that none of those things matter. Met these two for their engagement session at a field, but when we got there I told them that I had seen a different field like 5 minutes earlier while scoping out a second spot for their session. So on a hunch I had them follow me there.

Just on the side of the highway in a small Arkansas town. An engagement session can be simple. What’s important to me in these photos is seeing the space that we created just so that these two could be themselves. It’s about as natural and unposed as it gets - and I love it so much. It’s what being a photographer is all about to me.
