Paten Studio Bridal Shoot

I love the idea of minimalism. It is the one element of the vision I have for my work in photography that has remained consistent. As I look back at my years of work as a photographer my, editing style and approach have certainly changed, but I can see the idea of minimalism throughout.

I think that’s one of the reasons I have always really loved the idea of doing bridal sessions in the studio. It’s the perfect place for that minimalistic approach to shine through and let the dress and the bride, the dress, and the florals to take the front seat.

And as far as bridal portraits go, there are also other advantages to the studio setting as well. You don’t have to worry about the dress getting dirty, you can have the air conditioner/heat depending on the time of year, and you get some bridal portraits that will definitely have a different look compared to what you will be able to capture on your actual wedding day.
